Born into a Coast Guard family and one of nine children, John learned early how to adapt to new people, places, and situations, and never lost his love of meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning new things. John secured his undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts from Pensacola Christian College, and has continued his education with a Master of Business Administration from University of Louisville as well as post-graduate studies in supply chain from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. John also has his PMP certification and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
John’s career includes managing plants up to 1.5 million square feet in the manufacturing and supply chain space, including factories, regional distribution centers, and FTZs. John has worked with small startups, medium sized businesses, and Fortune 100s, including Walmart, Ingram Micro, Honeywell, Bosch, Caterpillar, Lowe’s, Ryder, and more.
Today, John is the founder and principle consultant of Zoom! Operational Excellence, where he helps companies of all sizes improve their business outcomes utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Organizational Behavior, and Adult Learning Theory. John also manages a production plant in his spare time, giving him the opportunity to keep his operations skills sharp.
John is passionate about helping people win, and is known for “turning everything he touches into gold”. John believes that positive, cooperative approaches to business problems yield superior results, and has the outcomes to prove it.
